Green Rhymes
Tin and Glim jump in the bin
to see what they could find
they found the green flag
recyeled the bag
and played a game of tag.
Sharon Boyle
Diddle diddle dumpling my son Lin,
Put his rubbish in a bin,
Paper in the green, food in the brown,
He turned Mother Natures frown
upside-down

The rubbish stack is falling down, falling down,
falling down
falling down
The rubbish stack is falling down
with all its recycled items.
The rubbish stack is built again, built again,
built again
The rubbish stack is built again
with all its recycled items.

Mary Mary quite Contrary
How does your green school grow
With coiste glas flags
And newspapaer bags
And recycling bins all in a row.
Roll Roll Roll your rubbish
Even if you don't care.
Merrrily Merrily Merrily Merrily
The recycling bins are over there.

Humpty Dumpty found a tin
but he didn't put it in the bin.
All the King's horses and all the king's men
told the Green School about Humpty Again.
Little Jack Horner sat in the corner
sorting out his rubbish
Some in the green, some in the brown and some in the grey.
Then he said"What a good boy am I".

Jack and Jill went up a hill
to fetch a pail of rubbish

Litter Pickers!
Yesterday, the 3rd of November our class took on the task of freeing the school from litter. There was a lot of rubbish in most areas. We split up into pairs and used litter pickers on the school grounds. We collected nearly a bag full of litter! The school is now spick and span!! The other classes now continue to clean the school grounds weekly. We are working on receiving a green flag for our school.
